Rough Plumbing/Electrical

So your probably asking yourself, why would I want to know about "rough plumbing and rough electrical?".

Answer, we have to have water for Mrs. C’s 2 dishwashers, the icemaker in the fridge, the basic kitchen sink or the extra vegetable sink in the center island and both sinks need drain lines. Now the "kitchen to die for" has to have a little extra to live up to its name. If you have pets, you have to have the automatic dog watering bowl (which we had to rough in a water line to). And you wouldn’t want to leave out the "pot filler" over the cooktop, which as you can tell by it’s name, allows you to fill your pots (or pans) with water without having to go to the kitchen sink.

Rough electrical was a matter of adding a breaker box for all the new circuits required for the C’s kitchen. Lighting included recessed can lights, under and over cabinet lighting, pendant lights over the center island, and exterior lighting outside the new addition. Wiring was also needed for all the new appliances including the cooktop and oven, trash compactor, refrigerator, microwave, dishwashers, garbage disposal, vent hood, and the skywindows. Yes, the skywindows are motorized to open and close both the windows and the blinds in the windows!

We’ll update you more on our electrical fixtures, plumbing fixtures and appliances later on in the program.
